"Magenta" is the product of my enjoyment for working while standing over a painting.  There is definitely a different perspective afforded the artist when he/she stands above the canvas, and can observe the progress from 360 degrees, while walking around the work.  The canvas has a different voice than when it's propped upward on an easel.  The journey for the artist is different as well, almost as if you're taking a trip to you're favorite getaway, but now transiting over the road in a low-flying aircraft rather than driving.

The canvas was prepped, then the background laid down with a wet-n-wet technique.  This was accomplished by laying the canvas flat on an elevated table. Once that phase was completed, the canvas was laid out flat on the ground with a larger canvas tarp beneath to capture wild paint specks.  The paint at this phase is applied with various brushes, while utilizing a rapid wrist action to dislodge the paint from the brush.  Once the work is completed it is allowed to dry for several days, then varnished for added protection and vibrance.
