> DESCRIPTION

In 2006 V!P's and China Art Trade organised one of the first solo exhibitions outside of his home country for the Chinese Contemporary Artist Huang Yan. Soon exhibitions in several US cities followed, the Museum of Modern Art in New York purchased a couple of his works of art and in Europe several museums exhibited Huang Yan's works. In the meantime Huang Yan had also evolved to become a widely recognised curator and a visionary tutor for a whole new generation of young Chinese artists.

We hereby proudly announce that Huang Yan will be in the Netherlands again to attend the opening party of Body Scape 2012 on Saturday 19th of May from 15:00 to 17:00.

In the exhibition both recent works (including sculptures) and selected Body Scape works from the past 13 years will be shown. You can visit our exhibition until June 16th, 2012. May 19 till July 7, 2012 (EXTENDED!)

We hereby cordially invite you to attend the opening party of this extra ordinary exhibition.

Huang Yan paints landscapes from Shan Shui Masters on human bodies, hereby documenting Chinese history on the human skin. After painting on the bodies, Huang Yan takes photographs in various poses. The Shan Shui style is easily recognised by vast mountains, gigantic rock formations, scattered trees, houses and drunken masters.
