The 2010 programme of Nieuwe Vide draws to a close on the 17th and 18th of December with The Object Lag, Intangible, a Play. You are warmly invited to this final installment of The Object Lag, followed by a party on Saturday evening the 18th of December.

The Object Lag, Intangible, a Play concludes the fifth working period of The yearlong project, a collaboration in which guest curator and artist, Emily Williams reflected on the years events and possible forms of documentation in conversation with David Weber-Krebs, Deirdre M. Donoghue and Warren Neidich. Williams invited five former participants to re-enter The Object Lag in the form of a play. The result is a choreography devised by Williams who interweaves presentations by Jean-Baptiste Maitre, Michael Beck, Rana Hamadeh, Scott Joseph and Julie Peeters.

Throughout the past year, The Object Lag offered a platform to over 50 artists, graphic designers, theoreticians and art students and collaborated with Teylers Museum, Kunsthuis SYB, the Dutch Art Institute and Archive Kabinett. The Object Lag places the emphasis on the performative nature of 'practice' and its tension with the object as a fixed form.
